The BEST Festive And Sweet Pumpkin Pie Martini Recipe

The BEST festive and sweet pumpkin pie martini recipe is right here! It’s autumn in New England and you know what that means…sweaters, jeans, boots, and pumpkin EVERYTHING! I’m not sure if you are team pumpkin or team apple. Personally, I like both, but definitely lean a little towards the pumpkin side.

I’m pretty obsessed with dessert martinis, if you couldn’t tell from the martini recipes on my site. I recently heard that Veil vodka released pumpkin vodka this fall season and headed to Total Wine to get some. I could only find 2 different pumpkin vodkas in the store; one was pumpkin spice and the other was pumpkin vodka. I bought both because I thought each could make yummy concoctions. If you love the sweet taste of pumpkin pie, try the Veil Pumpkin Vodka and check out this recipe. You won’t regret it.

Pumpkins

Did you know that pumpkins are a fruit? It’s true. Honestly, I never thought of pumpkins as fruit, I always thought they fell in the vegetable category. However, just like squash and zucchini, pumpkins are all considered fruits! It seems like a joke since they are a savory tasting food, but they all grow from flowers and have seeds which helps distinguish fruits from vegetables.

Knowing that pumpkins are a fruit, that might explain why the taste is so distinctive and people either love it or hate it. For example, bananas. Bananas have a distinct taste. As a result, people either love or hate something that has banana in it. Personally, I love anything with bananas so it’s a mystery to me why people hate bananas, but anyway…same is true for pumpkins, people either love that taste or despise it.

I can’t get enough of that yummy pumpkin flavor and look forward to pumpkin everything in the fall. There is such an allure to only having the pumpkin things during the August to Thanksgiving season. I mean, we can eat bananas year round. Three months of pumpkin goodness is just not enough as far as I’m concerned! As a result, we need to make the most of pumpkin time.

Mixing Cocktails

Before you start mixing up martinis like a pro, you really need to have a few key items. A cocktail shaker is a must have, when you want to mix up some tasty drinks. I’m a little obsessed with the following cocktail shaker. You want to know why? Because the price is amazing and it comes with all the things! Meaning, it has the cocktail shaker which has a built in strainer, but also has a jigger which you need for measuring everything out. Additionally, it comes with pour spouts which are awesome for keeping your counter clean from spills (sadly, I am familiar with spillage that occurred without handy dandy spouts), a bar spoon, and bottle opener. Lots of gadgets for 1 item.

Assuming you have the proper mixologist equipment, you are halfway there to making this yummy pumpkin pie martini. The only thing standing in your way is making sure you have the proper ingredients on hand. The great thing about this dessert martini is that it doesn’t require many ingredients and there are no unnecessary, caloric ingredients. Meaning, the only items in this adult drink is alcohol.
